Last night, Marit and I spooned.
Ok, we didn’t but we did rearrange the sleeping arrangement now that Brad has actually returned home to his home. So I drew the Marit straw.
We woke up at 6:10 am and Marit said do you feel lik you were hit by a train?
Sort of. If I had to rank the pain I would say my feet are the best of the worst, then hamstrings, quads, and the worst – toxic sunburn.
We woke up the boys (code for we turned the lights on and made a ruckus), we made oatmeal. Thomas exiled Marit from the kitchen for taking too long. He had to get in there to boil water to make his tea. Thomas admitted that as long as he did not lift his legs above 90 degrees they were feeling “ok”. Brad confesses that he loves quinoa. Chris has really bad bedhead.
This morning, a group ride through the Elfin Forest. Then we are going to give Marit a religious experience – climb Soledad. Afterwards, a run.
Honestly, I’m a little scared. Group rides are always a little nervewracking. But I read this somewhere a few days ago:
It’s about letting go of fear, of taking risks. It’s the little victories that build our confidence over time.
I don’t know who said it but I thought it was well put!
