We have returned from Portland. A few random thoughts, and then results:
1 – Children under the age of 2 should not be permitted on airplanes.
2 – If children under the age of 2 are permitted on airplanes have no doubt in your mind that they will scream for the entire duration of a 3 hour 18 minute flight from Portland to Chicago.
3 – Hearing a screaming child on a flight for 3 hours and 18 minutes has done nothing for me in the life category of “when will she have a baby, why not soon.”
4 – Screaming children are perhaps the one thing that can make more noise than Jennifer Harrison.
5 – Just kidding – after spending a whole weekend driving Miss Daisy – our coach – Chris and I can truly say that we will keep her around for a little bit longer.
6 – If you were at the awards ceremony on Saturday night you will understand me when I say why did I have the urge to go up to the microphone and confess my name is Elizabeth Fedofsky and I have a triathlon problem.
7 – Who knew Jennifer could consume 10 lbs of french toast and an entire bottle of syrup in less than 10 minutes.
8 – I believe Jerome heard my cross-country cry on Friday morning around 9 am when I screamed out that it was 11 am at home and I still did not have my coffee.
9 – There is nothing more entertaining than passing time in the airport with your husband while playing ‘Do, Date or Dump – Tri Style’.
10 – And now the results….top 10 in age group at nationals is very special so here goes for all my pals:
Jennifer Harrison – 6th in age group
Alicia Parr – 3rd in age group
Stacy Richardson – 1st in age group
Jennifer Garrison – 1st in age group, 1st overall, 2006 and 2007 National Champion
Kristin Moore – 9th in age group
And, me – 6th in age group
It’s not often that I feel great about 6th in my age group but this one was different. This one felt ok. There were parts I was very pleased about and parts not so pleased. But overall, ok. Fun details and race report to follow…..
