Work With Coach Liz

Not every athlete needs a full season of coaching. Sometimes you need a plan for one race, a second opinion on your training, or an hour with someone who has been doing this for a long time. And sometimes you’re a coach yourself, looking for someone to think out loud with.

Coach Liz Waterstraat has coached endurance athletes for 20 years. She is a USA Triathlon Level III Coach, the founder of Multisport Mastery, and a five-time IRONMAN World Championship finisher who still races as a masters athlete. These services put that experience to work for you, one conversation, one race, or one project at a time.

Event-Specific Race Planning and Recap

A race plan built for one race and one athlete: you. Open to any athlete in triathlon, running, or off-road racing, at any distance, from a local 5K to an IRONMAN.

Your plan covers:

  • Course details for the swim, bike, and run, and where the race is won or lost
  • A pacing plan built from your own training data
  • Fueling and hydration targets, plus what to do when your stomach has other ideas
  • Weather, heat, and race morning logistics
  • A pre-race routine and the mindset to carry you to the finish line

After the race, we review your race file together. You’ll see what went well, where the next breakthrough lives, and what to change next time.

Race planning works best when you reach out at least two weeks before race day.

Mentorship for Coaches

Coaching is a craft, and most coaches learn it alone. Coach Liz has spent 20 years coaching athletes, leads a team of coaches at Multisport Mastery, and presented on athlete retention at USA Triathlon’s Endurance Exchange. Mentorship is for new coaches finding their footing and experienced coaches ready for what’s next.

We can work on:

  • Building training plans that fit real lives
  • Communicating with athletes and keeping them for the long haul
  • Coaching women in endurance sport
  • Growing a coaching business, or leading a team of coaches

Mentorship can be a single touchpoint or ongoing, whichever fits where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be coached by Multisport Mastery?

No. Race planning, consultations, and mentorship are open to any athlete or coach, whoever writes your training today.

What kinds of races do you plan for?

Triathlon at every distance, running races from the 5K to the marathon and beyond, and off-road races.

What do I need to send for a race plan?

Your race and race date, your goals, and access to your recent training data, such as your TrainingPeaks account. The more we know about how you train, the more specific your plan will be. Reach out at least two weeks before race day.

What happens in a coaching consultation?

It is a 45-minute Zoom conversation built around your questions. Send your topic ahead of time so we can make the most of every minute.

How is a consultation different from the free fit call?

The free fit call is a short conversation about whether ongoing coaching with Multisport Mastery is right for you. A consultation is a full working session on your questions, whether or not you want ongoing coaching.
